Product Description

IC Biomedical cryostorage refrigerators and dewars each comes with a standard lid, so it is not necessary to purchase an additional one. However, many customers buy spare caps/neck tube cores in order to modify them so that different kinds of sample storage devices can be suspended into a storage canister.

These accessories include the necktube core, except the small LD4 dewar which has a cap only. The cap/necktube core serves as both a mechanical cover for the opening and as an insulating cover for the top of the dewar. It must be loose enough for the nitrogen to be able to boil away without pressure buildup.
